Separate the embroidery thread. Use 2 strands & thread your needle.

Wrap thread around the needle to form a knot.

Centre the batting piece behind the fabric.

Hold fabric to the light, ensure heart is centred. Secure with a pin or a small amount of glue

Insert needle from the back so it is 2-3 mm away from the edge of the heart shape.

start with a simple running stitch around the heart. Try to keep your stitches even, but don’t worry — little wobbles just add extra charm!

Finish off the thread at the back of the heart. Weave the thread under 3–4 stitches. Snip threads

Insert the stitched heart into the opening of the front of the card. Secure with glue

Use craft glue, double-sided tape, or a glue stick to seal the card closed.

You now have a finished card or tag
