Follow the steps below to create your fabric greeting card.
Step 1
Separate floss so you have 2 strands of thread.
Step 2
Thread your needle
Step 3
Make a knot by wrapping your thread around the needle 3 times. Keep hold of the thread with your thumb and index finger and pull the needle to create a knot.
Step 4
Insert your needle from the back and bring up alongside the heart on the left hand side.
Step 5
Decorate your heart with a blanket stitch around the outside edge.
Step 6
Finish off the by securing the thread on the back.
Step 7
Centre the circular piece of batting on the wrong side of the heart.
Step 7
Pin in place to secure.
Step 8
Using 2 strands of embroidery thread, make a knot. Insert your needle from the back 5mm from the edge.
Step 9
Quilt around the outside of the heart using a running stitch.
Step 9
Finish off the heart by tying off the thread at the back of the heart.
Step 10
Place your quilted heart inside the circle of your card. Remove the double sided tape and secure in place. Remove the tape on the left hand side and cover up the back of the heart
