THIS PROJECT CAN BE COMPLETED IN AN AFTERNOON AND IS A FUN GROUP ACTIVITY.
Template
Join the 4 pieces of A4 sheets together. Matching the arrows, you will have a heart shape.
Cut template
on the dotted lines to the left & right of the heart and then cut away the inside of the heart shape.
Centre fabric and template
on the bath towel, make sure it doesn't hang off the sides
Place the hearts
around the inside edge of the template. Use the different shapes and colours so there is a variety. Leave a gap of 6mm between each shape.
Take a photo
and convert to black and white, see if any look too light or dark next to one another. You can also use this photo as a reference as you are working.
Set your iron
on be cotton setting without steam
Iron the hearts in place
but first remove the paper backing, place right side up. with the iron, press lightly to melt the glue so it sticks to the fabric
Iron in place
by starting on the left edge of template and work in a clockwise direction, gluing one heart at a time.
Remove the paper template
and give the all the hearts a good press to make sure they are secure.
To finish off
fill the space with the remaining hearts, using their various shapes to fill in the gaps. Have fun moving them around and getting them to fit in place.
Take a black & white
picture and make sure you are happy with the layout. Iron in place same as you did in step 7
